Just like "american" inventions. All their fighters, bombers and missiles not to mention space program can thank german tech.

All relevant """american""" inventions are made by europeans.

That said, the US and USSR space programs, aircraft, all that jazz was stolen from the krauts.

I'm not a gun enthusiast, but isn't the unique thing about the AK the fact that its action is gas-powered? Is this correct, and is that other gun the same?

We wanted a world without nukes, but the lizard merchant thought otherwise and wanted to develop nuclear weapons. We tried to stop them and tried to make the world a better place. But the eternal anglo stopped us and made nuclear weapons happen. This is all your fault.

wut... You made extreme long range amerikabombers so you could bomb washington with radioactive dirty bombs.

And the only reason you didn't get nukes first was cause your scientists didn't sell the whole massive explosion pitch well enough so the army expected the bombs to be much weaker and thus not worth the investment.

Both guns are gas-powered.

Gas-powered reloading mechanism of automatic firearms wasn't even that new an idea when the first notable assault rifle was made by the germans (the other gun, known as STG 44).
>>
They weren't even subtle about it.
>>
>>58016841
Uhm... V2s, huckebeins, d-/swept wings, ARs, night vision/IR, all the auschwitz medical science stuff, good jet engines, TOWs, remote guidance, a fuckin space program, proper subs, standardization (granted that was in turn stolen from the soviets), etc etc etc
>>
It was an intentional leak. The U.S. realized it had wasted fuckloads of money on a shit project. So a common tactic was employed; leak it to the russians, see what they do different, try to steal it back and make a more efficient, less costly version.

The russians weren't that enthusiastic and shut the project down when the union got unstable, which is understandable since the space shuttle was shit for anything but serious space colonization (which is what it was planned for, regular and frequent shuttle missions)

So if you break into someones house and steal their finished drawings for a new car and start mass producing said car, claiming it as your own, with the real designer not even being able to sue you cause you bashed him into a coma with a baseball bat on your way out, you would consider all that not stealing, and the genius new car you're making is all thanks to you?
>>
>>58017027
>reusable space-worthy aircraft
>shit project

OK famalam. The russians weren't the ones to get the damn things into orbit and return them safely back onto the ground again.

Besides, I don't think we were the ones doing the 'stealing' in that exchange.
>>
>>58017036
Why do Russian troops steal Poland???????
>>
>>58017143
More like I broke into his house, stabbed him to death with the help of my friend Ivan, and then took the drawings. It's not stealing because the bastard's already dead.

We're getting into ass pulling territory, so I'll stop here. The only reason the shuttle program was slashed was because NASA had it's balls cut off in the early 90s, which is the same reason we're still using the russkies' expensive little tin cans today.
>>
>>58017618
Nuh the program was a failure from the start since it was planned out for a much, much more extensive space program.

If you guys had gone through with your planned space ports and Mars missions and all that to continue to the space race it would have cut some costs but the reason it was slashed was it was simply not reasonable to try to maintain an unstable and bizarrely costly (due to the low launch to development rate) launch platform that only makes sense if you try to build a space port.

>>58017855
You do know that was due to material shortages? They drew up the Ta-183 which later became the MiG, F-series, SAAB series etc, which, had materials been available, in 1945 would have been a swept wing transsonic jet aircraft with radio guided air to air missiles with automatic airburst detonation when within kill range. This aircraft would escort half-stealthy delta wing strike aircraft and trans-atlantic jet bombers later called 'B-52's. Sounds like what the U.S. did anyway? Yes. Because they just pressed print on the kraut drawings.
