Semi-serious question: why are most European countries so shit at making music?

Africa, Latin America, the Anglosphere, all are producing damned fine tunes for the 21st century. But continental Europeans just produce absolute dreck. I mean, seriously, name one good band from Finland. From Poland. From Belgium. (yeah, I know you can google some up. That doesn't count).
