When someone on /int/ calls South Slavs other than Slovenians Slavs, I ave meself a chuckle. It is the most grammatically conservative Slavic language bar none. Basically, if your declensions don't match Slovenian ones, then you're objectively wrong (looking at you, Croatia).

Because in those times Vojvodina was part of Austria and it had been very depopulated because of constant war/raids with the Muslim world.
