No I don't think that senselessly putting a mother's life in jeopardy during child birth is a good thing, that's what we have medical technology for, and I'm skeptical that this is a prevalent problem in Poland rather than some one off instances.
Unborn life should be treated with such respect. Here in the west there are women that tell themselves that their very own unborn child is nothing more that a tumor to be shredded and ripped out all because they fucked some stranger. Aborting children because of serious deformities is a separate issue but I'm pretty sure it's legal to do this in Poland.
