Is it the magical place it seems to be on tv? How's the life of a new yorker?
I went to New York once, I started drinking whiskey at 4pm and by midnight I was in a strip club doing lines of cocaine with a fat black man.

Depends on your standards. If you come from a shithole, New York might seem like an amazing place. Otherwise it's no different from say, London. Rude bustling people only less Muslims.

Personally, I love it. It's pretty much the capital of the world. You can go three blocks and hear a dozen languages being spoken, any kind of food you could possibly want, you can find a restaurant that makes it freshly and authentically. There are a billion things to do and see there, even if you avoid the touristy bullshit.
My only issue is the lack of zoning. It's not uncommon see a gothic cathedral sandwiched between a jutting artsy building made by some pretentious hot shit architect and a fucking McDonald's.
Life is fine here, the crime infested rundosn shithole was a 70s-80s thing that has been gone for a long time now.
