Berlin is overrated. Construction sites, hipsters and the smell of piss. The museums are pretty cool. Make sure to visit the Museumsinsel (Museum Island), the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) and the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche (Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church). I would recommend you to visit the Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate), but it smells like piss aswell.

I only went there a few times, I lived north of there.
I just remember it was nice, clean, friendly people, good food, great beer, fun night clubs, and very traditional feeling, it's Bavarian as could be.
