Can you explain to me a poltard appreciation of Russia? It seems to be absolutely alien and weird for Russian. We are not Europe and we are very anti-European and anti-Western, our mindset is pretty same to such of American black people, we like hip hop culture, we are way more okay with people of world cultures than average poltard. Russians are mostly left wingers who would like to have USSR back. Why do poltards see Russia as a right wing country, savior of white race, jerk off to Putin etc?

Let me elaborate and show you the main points of view inside the Russian society:
Our nationalists consider Russia great Eurasian country always opposed to the Europe and the West, successor of both Kiev Rus and Golden Horde. Peter the Great and the other pro-European rulers are seen as traitors while rulers like Alexandr III or Alexandr Nevsky are seen as heros. The main ideologists of this point of view are Gumilev, Berdyaev, Dugin and Putin himself. It's an official and very widespread point of view. They support the USSR as a great empire and our homeland as well as anti-European periods of Tsar Russia.
Our liberals are pro-Western and pro-European and would like to make Russia a modern Europe-like country with democracy, human rights etc. I guess any non European country have such a kind of people, who see that Europe and the West are prosperous and would like just to copy them. They see both Tsar Russia and Soviet Union as shit because they were not liberal and Western. Navalny, Khodorkovsky, and most of our liberals are like that.
Our left wingers are mostly communists who are very anti-Western and would like to restore the USSR back. They are divided on pro- and anti-Stalin parts, the former see Stalin as a great man who developed our country into worls power and made it great despite all the repressions, the latter see Stalin as a man whose pros cannot be justified because of repressions. They both see Tsar Russia as a shitty colony of the Europe where Russians were slaves and USSR was an uprising of Russian people against Europe and slavery. The main talking heads of this point of view are Zyuganov, Puchkov, Delyagin, Satanovsky.
We have also a small amount of pro-European nationalists who are true poltards who consider Russia European and think that Tsar Russia was great and USSR was anti-Russian which destroyed Russians and made them Soviets. They like Vlasov, Hitler, and think that USSR would better be defeated by Germany so we would drink Bavarian.

Yes, but it's supported by vast majority of Russians, ~86% of population support Putin according to polls. Many people are dissatisfied with economical policy and call for cleaning economy bloc of government from liberals and right wingers and kinda return to plan economy. But most of people like Putin policy and ideology towards most of issues except the economical ones.

Yes, but Alexei started copy European army model before Peter. Without Peter we could copy many European inventions too but save Russian culture more effectively.
