I used to love Russia without limitations until the intervention in Ukraine, and I realized that unfortunately most Russians still have a very positive attitude about the evils of the Soviet era. Very hypocritical considering they bash Germans for National Socialism and some even acting like they "saved" the world from Fascism. Fortunately the far right is getting stronger in Russia and a reevaluation towards the Soviet era making things better.
