It is said in many sources a typical Japanese works even more than 10 hours a day. However I`m not quite positive about that.

So, I`d like to find out whether it is true or not.

So I summon the Japanese ITT. Could you tell me how many hours a day your parents, other relatives or friends really work a day?

They technically can work regular hours, but most of them stay after in improve their chance at promotions
>>
>>57775618
9 -17 we are punctual.
>>
>>57775618
Japs don't actually work all those hours. But they are expected to go drinking with their coworkers after work, which usually devolves into talking about work.

That's why it seems like Japs work so much more than they really do.

Does it tactics work after all?
>>
well if you do it over again every japanese will give you the same answer as what i told you before.
those sources sound right. the exceptions are public servants, some blue collar workers, and actual "sane""rational" companies that arent held to japanese common practice and hivemind. the others are in that over working hell.

>>57776282
t. chink

Chinks work as hard as Japanese or more
>>

>I usually work 3 hours overtime, sometimes I work until 11pm but it is fine for me they pay me overtime wages, and I love to work. If you are family oriented person, it is might be bother,, but still you can have right to choose another job.
Nowadays, the companies compliance with legislation for conditions for their labor is getting strict especially for big companies, so our working time is lesser and lesser now.

My average working hours per day in April will be 14h like 0730-2130
>>
>>57776632
Chinese are a branch of hard workers like Africans, even you know most our business men just be sitting in a chair for time card.
>>
>>57776642
>so our working time is lesser and lesser now.
How does the common Japanese laborer see this? Are they upset because they're losing income, or do they feel relieved?
>>
>>57776701
Oh, It seems I misunderstood him. I thought he meant a typical Japanese can work even 17 hours a day.
>>
>>57776773
I don't know why you think so
>>
>>57776834
thats just because you are just that or a rich idiot doesnt know of actual average workers conditions in japan at all.
>>
>>57776803
I think it depends on individuals because one need to pay housing loans, car loans and everything which they expected income at that time, the other think happy that they can spend more time or their hobbies.
>>
>>57775618
I've rarely met such crazy(stupid) workers because I live in fucking rural.
It depends on company,of course.
But it is fact such crazy labors and companies exist.
So If I were foreign person,I'd never choose to work in Japan.

knowing that my dad is actively working 10 hours a day 7 days a week and has the duty to respond to system failures 24/360 with only 10 days of paid vacations a year (he still has to keep his phone on and respond to system failures). Just to earn what an entry level lazy engineer makes in US.
>>
>>57778065
Yes
>>
>>57778068

40 per week is the standard here in The States, but a lot of people seem to push 45 to 50 depending on their line of work and if overtime is available.
>>
>>57776163
>9 -17
You must be a temp
>>
>>57778795
which is a good thing if you are working for a Jap company
>>

No, I am neet, working hours means sleeping time for me.
>>
>>57776946
you should be more smart enough to note the fact that not all people in japan engage themselves in shitty work conditions as you low-class worker do.

It's better to have fuck all money but time for your interests than it is to have a shitty lifestyle earning money you can't afford so that by the time you retire you can spend the rest of your shortened existence trying to either develop interests, have fucked up health, or be fucked over by the eventual divorce, etc.

Little wonder so many old people are nothing but a fucking useless burden on society: they spent their whole lives working and doing what were told, repeating the same shit day in day out, instead of expanding their minds and developing creative outlets.

The post-industrial age has brought about slavery in many forms.
>>
>>57778911
Right
But it is one of the Japanese dark sides.
Low-educated,low-calss people must work longer even if it is shitty work.
>>
>>57776163
That's exactly what we do. 9-5.
>>
>>57779092
Agreed

Ive been doing the grind for 3 years and its nice to have a good income but when I work over 45 hours per week its very hard to find energy for anything else . I try to stay below 40 most weeks if possible. Slavery is right , if I was getting paid low I would just say fuck this shit
