Certain varieties of southern accents are cool, I like crazy niche ones like cajuns and crazy appalachian hillibillies but that generic "OH HOWDY Y'ALL" is cringe as fuck. Doesn't even sound real, sounds like they're faking it to be a special snowflake or something.

the only pleasant southern accent that i have ever heard is the virginian one. the rest are shit! my cousin lives in kentucky i don't know how she likes living down there desu. it amazing how someone's accent puts them instantly under a different light.
