Hungarians in Hungary: alright, not been there a lot.
Hungarians here: some cool people, like the ones I met at university, you'll notice most the ones doing some manual and gastronomy jobs noone else wants to do, the ones playing garbage man and taking your old stuff.
Stereotype has it they're messier and more disingenuous (I know few, but one couple that fit that).

We're getting more and more secular with each year, family. Blame westernerns and their media. I literally turned gay watching that crap.

Coincidence? I think not!

My family is making me nuts; Seriously they lap up everything the goverment does. My father had a rough time under commie rule and now that the same tactics are use to manipulate people he just accepts it, for those in rule also hate the commies.
>>
>>57641190
My parents aren't any different, except they think they had a somewhat better time under the commie rule. So if you dare to say anything bad about the old communists, like at a dinner or something, everyone will spend at least an hour telling you why you were wrong, and how you shouldn't have a say in anything, that you're stupid etc.
While there is virtually limitless trolling and derailing potential in this, it's just never worth it, when you have to endure hours of bullshit in exchange.

That said, they know the government is full of shit, but they also lap up most things they say. I really have no idea why, they're usually quite intelligent.

I think most Hungarians like Austrians and look up to them. We have a nickname for Austrians (sógor) which means brother-in-law, which sort of describes our relation: family we didn't have originally. Although our relations have become a bit worse lately with some disagreements in the migrant crisis.
>>

Well family "get-togethers" are usually a battlefield for me, since 2 of my aunts are avid lefties, but everyone else is either a right or far-right.

An here I am who has a pariotic hearth, disappointed in fidesz, and not being able to feel connection with other parties.

ofc they love us, we are the only non-genocidal neighbor they have.

we even went to a war together over some who-cares village in wherever back in the day... top bantz in olden days

Maybe you, but most people I know think they are stuck-up and dragged us into wars we really didn't want to fight.

Because Austrians are hypocritical assholes, that's why

"ooh, hungarians are bad, poor migrants, why do you build fences to keep them out"

then four months later they built a fucking fence too on the slovenian border. Absolutely disgusting.

You stand at a dangerous crossroads. You can either lap up right wing propaganda, or choose a darker path... to freedom. Yes. Anarchism. A world without rulers. What do you have left to lose anyway? Politicians are liars, all of them. Right or left.
It's perfectly fine to want to improve our fair country. A lot of anarchists want smaller communities, more cooperation between people. Ask yourself the question: where is it easier to keep tradition: in large cities, where mega-corporations rule the world, or smaller, tight knit communities, where liberty and common sense prevail?

It's not like we were saints and have never screwed them over during our history. What matters is that we saved eachother's asses a few times.
