that's Venetian Pizza though. You had the initial idea, but we perfected it and added oregan.
We popularized this type of pizza, and indeed if you go around the world and ask for chicago pizza they will not know what you're talking about, because everbody calls it Venetian Pizza.

Pasta is pasta, Spaghetti, gnocchi, lasagne, ravioli, penne, cannelloni, tortelloni, fusilli, fettuccine, orecchiette, etc.
The only thing that changes is the shape of the pasta and the sauce.

cut some celery, a carrot and an onion and make them fry in low heat until they get just a little bit of color
put the minced meat in the pan, make it cook until the meat gets a bit of color as well (if it happens to stick to the pan add some water) and then add a bit of salt and/or pepper, then add almost a whole glass of white wine
wait for the wine to evaporate and then add the tomato sauce
from there wait at least 30 minutes (always in low heat, remember), the more it cooks the softer the meat becomes (i usually make it cook for around an hour)
then start making the layers and put a bit of ragout and besciamella sauce in each one
I usually put some slices of ham and mozzarella in one or two layers
on the top layer put some knobs of butter and grated parmesan and you're done
