In the Netherlands Kingsday (the Kings birthday) is probably one of the biggest celebrations.

Besides Sinterklaas ( Santa Claus / Saint Nicolaus) of course which has a massive build up for weeks.

Carnival is only celebrated in the south, but that also lasts a couple days.
