California is alright. I live here. You do have it right about our beaches, tourist attractions, good food, and nice scenery. SoCal isn't doing so good though imo. Huge droughts, smog, increasing crime rates, and high cost of living. California is wonderful if you're rich, but sucks if you're middle class or a poorfag.
If you do come through here though as a tourist definitely hit up Orange County beaches. Laguna, San Clemente, Balboa, Newport, finally: Venice in Los Angeles. Our weed is top shelf too. Give it a try. Deuces.

I can honestly say that I have never had any particular desire to live in or even visit Los Angeles. And I say this as an American who grew up in a smaller town and is kind of a "fool for the city", as a result. Later in life, I moved to a city.
I would much rather visit New York, personally. Matter of fact since I just said I'm a city-boo, let me mention places I'd actually like to visit:
New York, Seattle (the ferries were interesting), Chicago (been twice), D.C. just for the big stuff, I've heard it's a boring town actually, and I'd like to visit Colorado at some point. I guess visiting CA at some time might be interesting, but I just plain don't want to. LIkewise, I have no personal interest in ever visiting Florida.
