Jidan Guanbing.

They're a Chinese street food that's usually eaten for breakfast.

Basically, it's fried dough, and while they're drying it they put an egg inside. It's usually just served with spicy sauce, although you can also get it with chicken and lettuce.

The term koylatch is cognate with the names of similar braided breads which are consumed on special occasions by non-Jews in Eastern Europe. These are the Russian and Ukrainian kalach, the Serbian kolač, the Bulgarian kolak, the Hungarian kalács, and the Romanian colac. These names originated from Proto-Slavic kolo meaning "circle", or "wheel", and refer to the circular form of the loaf.[5][6]

>>
>>57534025
Indeed. Pes in America are a weird mystery, they brought pies over with them when we colonised the land and they randomly stopped eating them.

The mystery gets even weirder when you realise they still ate apple pies which they brought over from here, now as apples aren't native to America, they had to plant seeds and wait years for the fruit to be harvested to make the apple pies.

They went to those extreme lengths to keep eating apple pies but just dropped the others they brought with them,
>>
>>57534167
No, what I'm getting at is what do you mean when you say pudding? The dish is a pudding, it's like building a house out of other houses, it doesn't sound right.

Only chicken pot pies, like pic related. We don't really have savoury pies other than that. OCCASIONALLY you'll see a mince meat pie around Christmas.

>>57533964

10 years ago, maybe. Recently that's changed though, if you order a cider you can get an actual cider. It'll only be American ciders though, and sometimes Swedish. British cider hasn't come onto the scene yet. I still think there's a lot of money to made importing Thistly Cross, Aspall, etc.

>>57534419
Yes, why don't Americans celebrate Easter by having Easter eggs or hot cross buns?
>>
>>57534294

Pudding in the US is only used with pudding like jello pudding. This is 'pudding' to us, it's more of a separate thing, it's hard to explain.

In the dirt cake example, we'd call that the filling rather than pudding; I wouldn't associate dirt cake filling's texture as pudding because it's too thick and has hard bits. Pudding is only used with really really smooth textured, sweet dishes.

It's really difficult to explain. I know what is a pudding and what isn't (and so do all other Americans) but it's really difficult to explain. Though pic related is a 'pudding', every single American would call it a cake.

Similarly, dirt cake would be a cake with pudding-ish filling, but... it's just called filling.

Clarification.
Jello is a company that specializes in flavored gelatin and pudding.
When most people call something jello, they are referring to flavored gelatin, because of its associated with the Jello brand. (pic related)
Pudding is dessert goop similar to mousse, but more dense and thick. >>57535128 Most Americans would consider mousse a type of pudding.
