Basque/Hungary

Finland and Estonia too similar to make either of them as unique
>>
Hungarian and Finnish have too many living relatives (including each other) to be unique.
It's gotta be Spain+France with their Basque

Hungarians are just random European eskimos, of which there are several more varieties in Russia: Komi, Samoyeds, Nenets, etc.

In basque you just need to add «k» «z» and a lot of vocals.

See: Zein da zure izena? / zenbat urte dauzkazu?
>>
Personally I think Finnish because it is the only european language that sounds like it was made up on the spot by literal retards, I dont know what to compare it to
>>
>>57526595
Hungarian and finnish are distant relatives, no language is mutually intelligible with hungarian.
>>
>>57526548
pretty much this
>>
>>57526656
add to what?

their language isn't even indoeuropean
>>
>>57526679
There are actually groups of Eskimos living behind the Ural Mountains whose language is close to Hungarians.
>>
>>57526759
but they're not mutually intelligible
>>
>>57526759
>>57526618
you're just jelly because your language isn't unique as theirs lol
>>
>>57526595
the similarity between Hungarian and Finnish is a bit like the similarity between Irish and Hindi

Sure, they're both part of the same language family, but they're extremely distant
>>
>>57526715
I know, I'm basque desu. Just a funny comment : D
>>
>>57526785
So? Basque doesn't even have a language to consider mutual intelligibility with

Basque.

Bastardized latin you mean?

Basque is a fucking alien language
>>
>>57526317
Spain and France because of basques. It's completely isolated and not related to any other language.
>>
>>57526919
>Not influenced by anyone
but it most definitely has Spanish influence

It's still very unique, no doubt, but to say it has no external influence is quite a bit of a stretch

Iceland

None at all (except maybe some isolated tribal languages in the middle of the Papuan jungle, but those probably have influence from different languages).

I was just disagreeing with the "not influenced by anyone" claim.

Objectively speaking, Basque is the most unique language in Europe as it's a language isolate. Hungarian comes second with only very distant relatives, then the other Finno-Ugrics.

At around the time the Finno-Ugric theory became widespread we sent help to Talvisota based on that brotherhood. Too bad we fucked up in true hungarian fashion and the main force arrived too late.

Don't believe the turanist big mouth retards on the internet.

Georgians

>In Georgian many nouns and adjectives begin with two or more contiguous consonants.
Some linguists[who?] assert that almost half of the words in Georgian begin with double consonants. This is because most syllables in the language begin with certain two consonants. Some examples of words that begin with double consonants are:
About this sound წყალი (help·info), (ts'q'ali), "water"
სწორი, (sts'ori), "correct"
რძე, (rdze), "milk"
თმა, (tma), "hair"
მთა, (mta), "mountain"
ცხენი, (tskheni), "horse"
There are also many words that begin with three contiguous consonants:
თქვენ, (tkven), "you (plural)"
მწვანე, (mts'vane), "green"
ცხვირი, (tskhviri), "nose"
ტკბილი, (t'k'bili), "sweet"
მტკივნეული, (mt'k'ivneuli), "painful"
ჩრდილოეთი, (črdiloeti), "north"
There are also a few words in Georgian that begin with four contiguous consonants. Examples are:
მკვლელი, (mk'vleli), "murderer"
მკვდარი, (mk'vdari), "dead"
მთვრალი, (mtvrali), "drunk"
მწკრივი; (mts'k'rivi), "row"
There can also be some extreme cases in Georgian. For example, the following word begins with six contiguous consonants:
მწვრთნელი, (mts'vrtneli), "trainer"
And the following words begin with eight consonants:
გვფრცქვნი (gvprtskvni), "you peel us"
გვბრდღვნი (gvbrdghvni), "you tear us"

I studied Lithuanian in university. It is amazing how it is close to Greek and Latin in vocabulary and structure. I am fascinated by the language. I wish I can speak it.

Basque, Hungarian, and Finnish win this bread.
>>
>>57532479
Have you studied Old Norse and Icelandic?

Imagine if all American speakers right now pronounce p as b and g as k. So we'd pronounce apple as "abble" and gate as "kate." How would we sound to an American from the 1930's? He'd think we're retarded. That's how Icelandic would sound to vikings.
>>
>>57532996
that's why I said "fossilized", it's obviously changed but I find it and OE interesting
>>

Greece, Albania, Euskadi.

that's wrong for both of those words, as they are both pretty much like that in galician and portuguese, which don't have basque influence. it is more likely that they are celtic words that were widely used before romanization
