Well he doesn't want to pull out of NATO completely he's more saying we shouldn't be paying to essentially prop up certain countries while they spend excess dollars (that should go to defense) on other shit. Basically certain countries have been spending well below their quota.

I see it as a positive thing because even though I like NATO and I want us to be a member of it, our politicians need a fucking reality check and realise that they need to make the defense budget great again. Also, our defense strategy if can't just be "dig in and wait for NATO", we have to be more like Finland and assume that no one is coming to help us.
And if someone comes that's great. But don't depend on it.
Right now we are weak because America picks up the defense responsibility. And it's not good for european sovereignty either to let America have that much power over us.
So please mr. Trump, tell our politicians that we need to take responsibility for our own defense.
