There are more than twice as many non-native french speakers than native speakers because everyone thinks your entire country is some sort of 5-star luxury wine-huffing cheese-fucking resort so they choose french instead of stuff like mandarin or latin. what doesn't help is that spanish is usually the only other option and all the white trash and beaners take it for easy grades
