It's booming here nowadays.
>>
>>57418048
Lot of microbreweries here, some imported craft beer can be found too.
>>
Doing great here. Especially in the northern part of the country, along the belgian and german border. Lots of good things here.
>>
>>57418498
>>57418545

>still drinking alcohol in 2016

Don't you know its bad for you?
>>
>>57419364
Not very much. They are pretty popular on the market, even though the most of the craft beer is ales, lagers, other kinds of stout and some special sorts.

Fucking huge here in The States.

Problem is a lot of them are basically making the same styles of beer. The ones that have their own bars seem to do the best since they draw a crowd I to the brewery itself.

Drinking is for teenagers
>>
It's getting big here. Whiskey distilling is also becoming a thing in Sweden.

I think it's good. As long as I don't have to drink disgusting piss yellow lager
>>
Portland, OR reporting in.

Beer capital of the world fucking prove me wrong faglords.
I've got a 6 pack of Sam Adam's Boston Lagger waiting to be drank.
>>
It's booming but I suspect it's all money laundering or something.

With declining real wages, who can afford fancy beer?

Everyone in big cities here. Is Czechia poorer than they say?
>>
huge thing here. you can find all sorts of things: porters, imperial stouts, wheat beers, alt beers, trippels, IPA's, pilsners, all kinds of ales, etc.
>>
I buy bear from a local brewery because it's better and cheaper.
>>57419649
There's also dozens of other things you do everyday that are bad for you. Might as well have fun.
>>

>Sam Adams

Wut...
>>
>>57421212
he was being sarcastic/ironic i think
>>
"microbreweries" and "craft breweries" in other countries need to bring back historical beer styles instead of making the same IPAs, stouts, and fucking American shit
>>
>>57421698
???
they have old breweries going on, whether they make it in large enough quantities to import to the states is another thing
>>
>>57421698
That's difficult, expensive and nobody would drink it anyway
>>
>>57421634

I hope
>>
>>57420757
He still drinks, goalposter.
>>
>>57421767
Right, but those they don't call "craft"

>>57421792
In Germany yes, the "craft" beer is expensive for them and it is all mostly American styles. They should be working on bringing back the hundreds of styles lost to pilsner popularity instead of every new craft brewery there just brewing American styles for 3-4 times the price of the best Bavarian Weissbier or the best Franconian lagers
>>
>>57421698
We did.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grodziskie
>In 2011, the Polish Homebrewers Association formed a commission for the revival of the Grodziskie beer.[7] Even though the style has taken different forms over the years, the purpose of the commission was to develop guidelines that describe a mild version that former brewery workers could identify, even though some brewers and homebrewers have experimented with variations that include different amounts of alcohol and bitterness.[7][24] Grodziskie was defined in the Brewers Association style guidelines in 2013,[25] and added as a Historical Style to the Beer Judge Certification Program style guidelines in 2015.[26]
>>
>>57421881
but they already have plenty of wheat beers and the like. of course they don't fall into the "craft beer" category because they're already established.
>>
>>57421914
Yeah, the only German historical beer style to come back is Gose, and that came back almost entirely because of American craft beer brewers
>>
>>57422012
there's already plenty of alt-biers where i live.. just a matter of time before there's local koelsch beers.
>>
>>57421881
Most of those beers stopped production vecause they were so similar to other beers. Lots simply weren't very good.

German beer is vastly overrated anyway.
>>
>>57422003
>>57422095
They have a few beer styles, yes, but really only Koln, Dusseldorf, Bayern, and Franken have their beer cultures left intact from the mess that is the reinheitsgebott and the takeover of pils.

Both of you should check out this page:

http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/gerstyle.htm
>>
I've had several European beers from local beer gardens in my area and all have been sweet and light bodied, so not good to me What are some good, nom sweet ales from the UK and Germany? I've had one called the Old "Crafty" Hen that was pretty good.
>>
I've only ever seen Austrian beer in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and South Tirol.

We have regional breweries. Some you can buy everywhere; Stiegl, Zipfer, Gösser. Others are localised. I live in Vorarlberg and we have some good breweries (Fohrenburger is the only bad one because of headaches) which sell their beer for cheap prices.

You would pay 5 euros or less for a six pack of good Frastanzer. I dont know if its "craft beer" or not but its been made the same way for centuries and its good. We also have Mohren which makes foreign leftists angry.
>>
>>57422298
Sam Smith's is the best English beer IMO and they make everything from cider to imperial stout. Sam Smiths OB is great, I drank it every week in England when I lived there

Unfortunately it's really expensive outside of England and only bottled.
>>
>>57422316
I think most beer hobbyists separate traditional beer from "craft" beer at least in Deutschland and Osterreich

Teraz każdy monopolowy musi mieć w lodówkach jakieś ciachany palone, kormorany niskosłodzone i inne żywe bezglutenowe, nabierze sobie taki 6 różnych do siatki i zadowolony nie truje dupy.

Have you ever tasted Doctor Brew ?
>>
>>57418048
Pretty big. The good part is most people into beer got started with good traditionnal Belgian beer, so they don't meme or act smug, they just enjoy being able to drink good local beers.
Lots of breweries popping here and there in and around Paris in le past 10 years. It's still a somewhat niche market, so you often get to meet and chit chat with the people who actually brewed the stuff when they showcase it in local stores.

if you unironically drink this shit, then you need to end your existence my family. ESPCIALLY if you feel superior to people drinking "regular beer" (that probably costs the third of the price of your faggot fruity drink), which you obviously do.

Pumpkin beer is nowhere near as bad as the fruity syrup beers, that's for sure.

>>57423576

desu the main breweries in the UK that bought up all the pubs have made it tough for microbrews to make it into the market.
>>
>>57423558
Not to mention CO beer is a lot better than Portland crap

Widmer is shit, as are most of the other breweries in Portland

Literally only Urban, Upright, and Hair of the Dog are good

I like craft beer and I'm glad they're booming novadays. What kinda pisses me off is that they too often come up with those hipsterish labels and 'creative' names like in OP's picture.
Picrel is a local AIPA-like ale. Less pricey than craft and quite tasty, although it depends on a batch
>>
>>57423875
Agreed on the gay ass hipster labels and names. I worked for a brewery here in Texas that did this from time to time, but in general the labels weren't annoying, just the names were. I remember they named one "Velocihoptor"
>>
>>57423875
>hipsterish labels and 'creative' names like in OP's picture.
Yeah, I posted AleBrowar because it was the first craft brewery in Poland.
>>
>>57423826
Most pubs in the UK are brewery owned and have been since the 17th century.
>>
>>57424037

I don't see how the timeline alters my statement.
