How much truth is there to the Amerifat meme?
I'd be lying if I said it seemed true in the felt experience, but I'm from Portland and we might not be the target of those memes.
Anyhow, there is truth to any joke, and I am confident that the US is more "amerifat" than any other country.

It's the one stereotype about the US that I think is undeniably true. I can argue that Americans aren't all stupid, that Americans do follow world affairs, that Americans don't live in war zones, but I cannot contest that we are horrifically fat.
I notice that immigrants tend to balloon up while they're here too. I don't know what it is, I really don't, but we all eat like pigs

Fat Australians are true as well, if you go into the CBD areas, which are frequented by trendy people, you won't see much fatties but if you go into the suburbs, you will see a lot. All the Anglo countries are the fattest in the world, USA, UK and Australia.

>How much
About 200 kg
>>57409589
I fail every Capcha that has me identify vegetables
>>57409589
Many other countries are fatter than us. So the meme doesn't really make sense anymore.

>Many other countries are fatter than us
Nah, just Nauru and Mexico are fatter than us.
>>57411028
I love the ones where when you've already checked all the instances of X it still asks you to check more
>>57411132
No. There are 26 countries fatter than us. I'd say this meme can officially die t b h
>>57411185
26th out of 200 is still fat as shit though.
>>57411162
I didn't think it could get worse until I ran into the new regenerating house numbers captcha.
>>57411185
Which 26 would that be? Are we counting US states as independent countries now?

Most people where I live (affluent New Jersey suburb) are in shape.
It kind of sucks because I'd be better looking if everyone were fatter than me.
>>57411640
I heard that being American means either being in shape (on both coasts) or being fat as fuck (in the middle).
>>57411689
Again, maybe I'm Machiavellian, but I prefer the people around me to be inferior so I'm better by contrast. Everybody should eat and get fat.
I'm not fat, so I don't care. Individual over the collective group.
Luckily the city I live in is pretty trendy, too, so fatties are an oddity and stick out easily. Most walk to work or take transit here. An active lifestyle makes it a challenge to be unhealthy.

I used to be fat and I agree that walking really makes a difference. Put in your headphones and it's even fun.
in alabama there's two types of people
skinny and morbidly obese
there is no in-between
100% true
but countries that are fat as shit like UK, Turkey, and ESPECIALLY Mexico shouldn't call the kettle black
>>57409589
a lot
I'm about 30lbs overweight and can't be fucked to lose it
even if I was skinny it wouldn't change how shit my life is so why bother
most poor people in USA have absolute shit lives and just eat junkfood to console themselves with a temporary dopamine rush
