One thing that I've noticed in Finland is how women participate in male dominated industruies. There's a ton of women police officers, women work the asphalt during the summer, women to very physical jobs in general.
This just as an observation as someone who has had a exchange program here for about 9 months. Pretty interesting change from south america.

Poor choice of words on his part I think. Ticket inspectors are usually accompanied by security guards (not police, as far as I'm aware) mostly to prevent people running out without paying. It's primarily an issue on the trams and metro, where you can walk in without showing a ticket.
