I'm not saying you have to memorize every fact about every single back-asswards country, but at least know where major ones are (USA, Russia, China, UK, Germany, etc.), and make an effort to know their leaders, or maybe some basic facts about them.
But especially Russia, given how close you two came to destroying the entire planet for the sake of a dick-waving contest. America isn't the only country on the planet you know, even if you are the most Hell-bent on destroying it.
