It's usually not bad, but the summer is roughly 5 months of searing heat with no rainfall and shit. It's pretty brutal. And 80%+ humidity at all times, so enjoy feeling like a slimy mess. Thankfully, what causes this (island) fixes it too, so you're never more than an hour away from any beach even by bus.

Actually we haven't had an influx of migrants for a good while now. Thanks to the Med being patrolled more thoroughly and often and the whole "if you come within our waters, we need to bring you ashore", most are just going overland.
They don't WANT to be here. It's a black hole for them, they want to get to Italy so they can fuck off to Central Europe. We're honestly mostly untouched from the migrant situation. We have a few thousand blacks but they barely do anything but harass a few women and work physical labour job for pennies. Most of our crime comes from eastern europeans.

When you go to Gozo, check out the Citadella. It's a gorgeous view especially in the evening. You also need to go to Nadur and ask around for the shop known as "Il-Maxokk" (pronounced "ill mah-shock". It's a takeaway that makes traditional gozitan ftiras (basically slightly different pizzas). Get the Maxokk special, it's got potatoes and maltese sausage on it. It's ORGASMIC and like 6 euros each. Get two, stuff your face to bursting.
Go walk around Buskett too, it's the biggest (and only, lel) green area on the islands. Check out the Inquisitor's Palace and go for a walk around the Three Cities areas in the south. Birgu, Bormla and Isla. They are heavily fortified and are laden with churches, some museums and really nice eateries to boot. Plus they're some of the most rural and rustic places on the islands. Sunsets here are god-tier.
