Europe was a combined effort. Russia halting the Germans at Stalingrad was huge, and arguably the turning point in the European theater in my mind. I don't mind American delusions. The only theatre they "Won" was the Pacific theatre though. The UK and other allies contributed the most in North Africa and the Mediterranean, and The USSR the most on the eastern front.
What really irks me is when they sincerely try to tell Brits that "You would have been invaded if it weren't for us". They totally gloss over the battle of Britain which stopped any chance of invasion and the fact the UK had been fighting for two years before they were bombed into participating.

Even WE joined at the start of the war. That's right, America joined even later than some irrelevant islands thousands of miles away from the conflict itself. We who had barely any military enforced conscription immediately and went to fight to free Europe.
