Honestly, as it is I'm starting to get family members from his side starting to contact me (now that I'm an adult). People I didn't even know existed coming into my life acting like I've known about them and telling me they love me
It's strange, especially since I can't speak Spanish and they can't speak English. It feels like every few months I get another relative coming out of the woodwork.
I'm not sure he will approach any of us though, he'll probably just drink himself to death in self-loathing if he hasn't already.

yeah, alcoholism is one of the shittiest things in the world, I've seen good guys ruined their lifes because of it, my both grandfathers were alcoholic and abusives with my grandmothers, but happily I didn't had to live any of that because they died before I could remember them, all what I know is that my mother was a abusive and emotionally distant with me because of that.
On the other hand my dad abandoned me when I was 9, and he came back when I was 17, so that's why I told you about your father coming back, happily he's not alcoholic, just selfish and irresponsible :/

Here's what my family tree as a whole looked like six months ago when it had a bit over 3000 entries. Now I've gone to 5000 but I haven't updated the big chart yet. Less than 10 people on the tree are non-Slovene - a few Germans, Czechs and EX-YUs (a few of my ancestors moved up north and a few down south).
