Do you guys even realize what a time it is to be alive in 2016? Compared to people just around the 1900's or 1800's we're so far ahead technologically we might appear ayy lmaos to them, to people in earlier centuries we might as well be Gods.

Here's a not at all complete list of what had changed since those times:
>people have been to outer space, humans had literally walked on the fucking Moon
>people can fly, and do so regularly. Visiting another continent is just a couple of hours away
>we're able to cure or control most diseases short of cancer and a few heredetary diseases (soon to be fixed)
>we can communicate with people on the other side of the globe - instantly. We can do so in more than one way.
>we're more cunning, know a lot more, and socially are more developed
>people are able to record immense amount of data on devices the size of a fingernail
>our weapons are capable of wiping out entire civilizations
>we're capable of manipulating DNA and create life for specific purposes - the only limitation is ethical considerations. Bioluminescent trees as street lighting? Just say no more family.
>advanced robotics, automation
>true AI's are to be born in the next decade or so

Why don't you appreciate what we have /int/?

Your ancestors had to marry people from their village or the next town.

You on the other hand have the entire world at your fringertips, able to choose from literally millions of women. You just have to man up and work for it. You can do it.

Well, if you're under the age of 30, you might live to see the invention of immortality. Basically we just have to figure out a way to keep DNA from deteoriating with time. We also know worms, and sea polyps that are essentially immortal.

Give it time Pierre. You may yet see the wonders of the future.

Yeah, OP, living in the "future" is great.

>>People who lived in the early 1900s assumed that we would have flying automobiles by the year 2016 A.D.

No they didn't. Not even Jules Verne did imagine in his wildest dreams that flying cars one day would be a possibility. Also there are already flying cars. It just crashed in Slovakia last year lol :^)

All of those are feasible now though, which is a huge step on it's own. Back then it was magic for a far flung future generation, now we have people funding and working on developing everything on that list.
>>
>>57291397
>Can't even run.
>Difficulty climbing stairs.

>"flying car"
Absolute shit.

Seriously. When I was a kid I thought that I would be able to plug in a wire in my brain and browse the internet by now. I can't. The future is shit. Slow af. You are too optimistic about it all. We won't see immortality within our lifestime. We won't see a city like the one in Blade Runner within our lifetime. I'll be old af by the time I see a legit flying car. And it'll STILL feel like I'll be living in 2025 despite living in, what, 2037 or something. These motherfuckers need to hurry up with this shit.

So stop whining like an entitled child an do something about it. Become an engineer or mechanic and help them. Or is that too much to ask for?
>>
>>57292105
Yeah Anon, let me just become an engineer. Let me just stop majoring in Criminal Justice and become an engineer because I'm sure that a single individual helping out will make all of these inventions ship out quicker. Let me stop what I'm doing in my life and become an engineer. Pls.

This is literally the worst time to be alive. Happiness is at an all time low due to wageslavery and constant bombardment of how great other peoples lives are compared to ours, and we JUST missed out on living as immortals in a permanent matrix like VR world with robots as our slaves.
