The first Muslims that came here, mostly Turks and North Africans came as guest workers. Men that came by themselves, and were intended to work here, make money and then go back to their respective countries and families. With the first waves of guest laborers, that's pretty much exactly what happened. Those first waves came from within Europe, and were mostly Greeks, Spaniards, Italians and other southern Europeans. Some of them found love, or got used to this place and never left, opening restaurants and pizzerias and such, but they never really burdened our society. By the time situations for workers and such improved in Southern Europe, the government started looking beyond that in places like North Africa and Turkey. When those workers were imported, they were treated very similarly as the Europeans that came before, so they were not intergrated, they didn't have to learn the language and they were usually more or less segregated from the rest of society. Which would have been fine, if indeed the bulk of them had gone back like the Greeks and Italians before them. But they didn't.. Labour came to power, and introduced family reunification laws, and at the same time a culture grew in which it was considered 'racist' or 'intolerant' to force people to learn Dutch and adapt to our values. So now we have 3rd and 4th generation Moroccans and Turks in this country that never learned proper Dutch because their parents didn't, and never learned to respect women and the law, and in many cases don't even understand basic decency and politeness.

People should have either sent the guest workers back from where they came in the 70s, or they should have ACTUALLY made an effort to intergrate these people, teach them the language and instill our culture and values within them. Now it's far too late. Too many generations grew up in these circumstance. It will take a long time to fix.

I disagree. London is just a huge mess of old and new, classic architecture stuck with massive glass and steel constructs. Sure ,there are protected sightlines in place, but it doesn't boppity change that pig's ear of a skyline.
Paris is much more elegant, with key monuments visible over the Haussmann roofs. Sure, that's mostly because the quarries under the city make it unsuited for skyscraper foundations for the most part... but Paris has benefited from that. Also, La Défense is kept out of the way and easily boopity accessible by public transport.

The reply was quite good, but I feel it only focused on what was happening in Europe, and there are some effects that came from the host countries that had a large effect, especially the rise of Islamist powers starting from the underground in the 1960's, slowly gaining power and oil money until the 21st century where they could finally start to undo a lot of the modern outlook that had developed in the past 60 years.
Additionally, the host countries could have done a lot more to integrate immigrants, but enclaves develop naturally as immigrants want to stay close to one another to form a network of support, which is a barrier to integration (as they can just stay in their own cultures in these networks). The only way to break up these enclaves would have been forced relocation or quotas for immigrants for each province/neighborhood or whatever.
Why don't white people just convert to Islam? It's pretty clear at this point that Christianity has failed - it's completely given in to liberalism, and your fertility rate has collapsed as a result. Quit complaining about the one religion that's trying to save you.
