Question for non-Americans: How can you use metric without real world equivalents to understand it by? Like when someone says something is thirty feet, I can picture thirty feet lined up, but when someone says something is 30 meters I have to get out a stick and count 30 times. Is it set up so a baguette is a meter long so you can just picture thirty of them?
First of all, when you are raised in a system, it feels natural.
Secondly, I doubt you can "picture 30 feet", even though you think you can.
Besides, Americans are retarded. You use metric in every situation that really matters, like technology and shit, but you use imperial for shit like fucking driving and sports.
Maybe you should stop being stuck in the 17th century.

>Implying that all feet are the same size.
Even if there aren't "real world equivalents", the metric system is much easier because all units can be correlated and easily converted.
for example:
1 cubic decimeter (dm^3) = 1 liter = 1kg of water

You'd know how much 30 mt would look like if you were raised by metric system

You are immensely retarded, you learn approximately how long a 1m step is when you grow up. Such a short length as a foot also seems inconvinient in many situations, whats the next bigger measurement after feet?
>Americans base length and height on this
I just imagined if they will change feets to penises. Nothing would fit.
I don't even
