It's the best use for leaves, they are less loaded in THC than the buds so smoking them is useless but still have enough to make a nice potent butter
What I do sometimes, since I don't grow and don't have any leaves, is just boil some whole milk and put all the stems I have kept from each time I buy in it, I let it on the fire during 30mn, stir very often, and in the end I had some honey for a better taste and drink it. What I get is generally bright green with dense buds, visible trichromes, and will ocasionally have purple streaks in it. Great stuff, but obviously not crazy shit like they have in California or Colorado where it's legal or semi-legal.
