What do you hate about the modern world? I personally hate the information age because it has destroyed the entertainment industry. Media used to be controlled by wealthy individual who had the time and resources to put into quality stuff and now the market is saturated with amateur shit. Things like indie movies and music and games that flood the markets. Fucking sick of it.

>the media industry used to be controlled by rich people who only wanted to make money or push propaganda but now anyone can create media

not a bad thing at all. just stop being lazy fag and expecting good films to throw themselves at you

So? Who gives a fuck? It's not like good media somehow got rarer.

you sound like a retarded babyboomer who thinks everything new is bad. The information age is the best thing that has happened to humanity
>>

Yeah okay because searching through the 90% shit to find the 10% good stuff is worth anyone's time. Not.

Couldnt agree more 2bh. But It might have been better if the word amateur shit was remake/copycat/seque/repetitive shit. From indie games to Hollywood, most of amateur shit out there are actually any one of them, and don't have any content describing an objective (new) standard of the modern world or the future.

Look for movies, video games, or music by reputable companies? So hard, you lazy prick.

job outsourcing and multiculturalism

People praise new media because "anyone can create something"

But that's like giving everyone a pen and paper and telling them to draw something. You'll have the few artistically gifted people but 90% will be shit and that's what the internet has done. It saturated the markets with shit

I think I hate online job seeking. Since it allows people to astrotuft for a +1 position, while not even looking for jobs, as they have jobs.
>Open job position
>100 seekers, 95 of those have a job

That's what networking is for. Gotta know someone in the company nowadays to get a foot in the door. Which sucks for me because I'm an introvert and hate socialising.

You needed network back then as well. The difference is that now you need to go in and do a open application before its announced, before you needed to know the job offer was open.

everything
except technology maybe
>>
>>57158738

That's why you have friends on the inside who can give you info on jobs before they're ever posted. If they're never posted, no one ever applies, and the only suggestion is you.

Yet here you are on 4chan talking with other dummies from all over the world. Seems to be a bit of a double standard there.

Your perspective of new media and its artists are mostly the same as mine.

But theres another problem that old school or legitimate cool ways that are not wacky dont really work well for the modern world.
There are a lot of the reasons of it but the main reasons are, the place called underground/indie is also saturated with the same kind of artists, and the old "famous""well known" old artists have actually stuck with "those were the days" crap and dont even try to figure out something new and modern anymore, and media only gives only the lazy old superstars attention even in the so called underground or "creative""real" scenes, shamingly. Even if there are some great new not-wacky artists the media ignores them because of the saturation and the laziness of its shitty editors. The only new artists they try to pick up are internet meme superstars or just wacks.

Bandcamp and Soundcloud are good examples of it. There are full of unknown young casualties who could have been made it if they were in a different era. I mean, Fuck SNSes and the media that is easily sold on the bandwagon on SNSes and still relies on their nostalgia. Though there's a fucking solution to all of that crap, I believe.

The movie companies that used to pour money into your overproduced crap still are. Goddamn Canadian inbreeds.
