I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

America is an evil nation of war criminals. Every drop of American blood spilled on both foreign and American soil is completely justified.

You want to burn with the rest of them? The West is doomed in general, but it's all thanks to America. And you want to MOVE there? For shame.

You'll come to regret this on judgment day.

Jose can you see
By the wall's early light
What so proudly we crossed
At the border's fine tunnel
Whose broad size and and bright lights
Through the perilous pass
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly outsmarted
And the Trumped red face
The butt hurted in air
Gave proof through the night
That the crossing was made
Jose, does that Aztlan banner yet wave
O'er the land of the ameribear
And the home of Tyrone

Who here actually stood up and placed their hand above the heart when reciting the pledge during the morning announcements in school?

I used to do it everyday until my senior year came. People in that specific class didn't even bother to stand up, and the few of those that did, none placed their hand over the heart. I eventually stopped doing it just because I didn't want to feel like I was being ostracized.

Our teacher stood up, but he didn't place his hand. He kept them behind his back.

It was commonplace to orally recite the pledge, on top of standing up and placing the hand through elementary and middle school, but in high school it was rare.

Did people start caring less because time moved on, or because high schoolers just don't give a shit?
