Why the fuck can't I learn Korean, /int/? I watch tons of Korean movies, but I can never pick up any sounds. They might as well be making fart noises. I used Anki for a few months, but I gave up because it didn't really seem to help me. I found myself memorizing the order of the cards, and the shapes of the syllables, instead of the actual sounds and meanings. I memorize words a lot faster when I actually hear someone say it, or if I'm forced to use it. Unfortunately I don't get a whole lot of opportunities to speak with Korean people. I went to a Korean church once, during the office hours. I knocked on the door, and I was gonna ask if it was alright for me to sit through some of their sermons, but no one fucking came to the door.
I tried Pimselur, but I didn't really like it. Never tried Rosetta Stone. Duolingo course still isn't finished.
