I spend my summers at my family in Southern France and almost starve to death until finally eating after 9pm.
They ususally make siesta in the afternoon so they make up for it by going sleeping later.
It's not that hot so late in the evening, so it makes sense to live farther into the night.
Also the food eaten in Southern Europe is usually well done and takes longer to prepare

Browse internet. 9pm take shower and make sure laundry is good and kitchen is clean. Go to bed around 10-11pm
