Why don't eastern European people come to America?
I work a shitty, low tier job as a warehouse worker and the vast majority of my coworkers are immigrants. But they're all from wacky, dirty, brown countries like the Philippines and China and God knows where in Africa. Why aren't there any Ukrainians coming here to hoover up our jobs? I thought their lives were also depressing.
Also desu I'm racist and I would rather work with slavs than with a bunch of smelly Africans (they literally smell like rotting crawdads and fece).

If I want to apply for tourist visa it will take at least 2 months of my life, countless papers prooving I am not gonna stay in America, half of local average monthly wage and talking to your embassy's employee like I am some terrorist and even that will not give me 100% chances. Marriage migration. Third worlders from country X often migrate after marrying someone who migrated from country X earlier. All the third worlder minorities have a very supportive community in the US. Europeans however are just randoms whites in the US so it's harder to find someone to marry, and the only other option is through work with an academic degree (which aren't given out like toilet paper in Europe).

Become a police officer in three months. List goes on. Here in Germany every path of education is so utterly time consuming that it's nearly impossible to pick up something else later on.

Legal immigration to the USA is ridiculously hard.
Here's the paths
a) a rich investor
b) famous actor singer
c) very skilled programmer/engineer/scientist/professor (this usually only nets you only a working visa still takes years to get permanent residency)
d) some kind of close family in the USA
e) married to USA citizen
f) green card lottery
Sure, you can take the illegal route like the Mexicans do and just stay in the country and avoid deportation but this is only for the most desperate people because you'll be stuck doing the most shittiest jobs imaginable illegally (because no one would hire someone without papers for a serious highly paid job). Also unlike Mexicans you still need to pass through airport security which is much more strict for obvious reasons. You have to have a valid visa before even thinking of flying there.

Things are improving here and less people are leaving as a general rule. Also countries like Germany and Austria are much closer and actually offer a better life quality than the USA. The american dream is alive and well, my parents achieved it and so did many others (i'm an expat living temporarily here)
It's just that the jobs you're talking about are done by unskilled laborers (ie literally anyone), and people with no skills/education just hop the border to the nearest rich country (mexico --> US, bulgaria --> germany, etc). They don't have the money, imagination, or need to go to some faraway country. So such shitty warehouse hauling jobs are done by the local poors, eg the Brits are always complaining about eastern european laborers coming over and taking their shitty jobs, since they're right next door.
It's the skilled immigrants that decide to come halfway across the world to the US because the opportunities are far above even other rich countries like Germany (eg doctors, engineers, physicists, etc). That's a good thing in the long term (for the US, of course)
