All of it. There is no point in living in the mountains, unless you have to. They're better for vacationing. Though some people here obviously do, because they like it. I grew up at the foot of a mountain, and it was nice enough. But hilly river and coastlands, interspersed with fertile lands is certainly preferable from the POV of civilization.
