"Now I am quietly waiting for
the catastrophe of my personality
to seem beautiful again,
and interesting, and modern.

The country is grey and
brown and white in trees,
snows and skies of laughter
always diminishing, less funny
not just darker, not just grey.

It may be the coldest day of
the year, what does he think of
that? I mean, what do I? And if I do,
perhaps I am myself again."

Entonces no pude hacer otra cosa

yes you could say that lol

That's very good Guillermo. Although it kind of sounded like you were swallowing a dick when you said "radicalisée" and "Israël".

As usual, almost perfect. Far better than my portuguese.

>But most Spanish speakers use "ustedes" instead of "vosotros"
But many languages (eg. Finnish and Swedish) have different second and third person plurals so it makes more sense
>>
>>56790173

>>
>>56790064
Do you speak the language at all ?
>>
>>56790222
If there are two of same letters in row, you have to pronounce them both. You made this mistake on "Kaarina", which you said as "Karina" and on "kummustansa" which you said "kumustansa". The mistake is bigger on the latter, as "kumu" means a certain type of sound, the word is close with English word rumble.

Don't loose the "nen" from the end of "kukkanen".
There are close to none silent letters in Finnish, so don't lose, for example, the "o" from "tuoksu".
Some other mistakes as well.

It was still understandable
>>
>>56790349
I still have some problems pronouncing the letter "r", pretty weird sound.

Here's some Spanish if anyone wants to try, it's a pragraph from "El Llano En Llamas" by Juan Rulfo:

>>

i have been "stuyding" it for 8 years now but dont "use" it outside of school desu, you guys are pretty hard to understand when i try to listen to you if theres no text to follow desu
>>
>>56790169
I was talking about Mexican ones. I didn't realize you were talking about Spanish Spanish accent.

>Rosa de Guadalupe
not sure about that one.

I loved Prisionera, I couldn't make my mind up which would I rather fuck mother or daughter.

Also this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GtcvZGMJd8 2 out of 3 sisters were 10/10 Ximena was one and not sure about other. Sara was the ugly one desu.

I think one opera was called Maria, but not sure, it was good.

And I remember one where bad woman named Gilda or something like that died in the end by being buried alive. I remember how she was screeching her neck.

I'm not a fan though, looking at them now most look cringy desu, but my mom was matching them while I was eating before school so I also watched it.

Btw., have you ever discovered that your maid is actually your real mother? :^)
>>
>>56790562
I point was that losing second m changes the meaning of the word
>>
>>56790576
Well you should keep practicing because your pronunciation and accent are both remarkable.
>>
>>56790562
>It was still understandable

I'm surprised.

I don't know anything about Finnish language.

>Kaarina
like this? http://vocaroo.com/i/s1bvYC9clNxv

>kummustansa
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0qE1Gdg470b

It's pretty strange to me to pronounce it like that because we don't have two of the same letter in a row.
>>
>>56790584
I don't really watch Mexican soap operas desu, but I'm pretty sure they're better than soap operas from Colombia or Spain or whatever.

Please don't watch Rosa de Guadalupe, it's as cringy as it can get.

Also, no, I really doubt any of my maids are my real mother, neither of them is from my city.

And yes, most women in soap operas are pretty hot, except for maybe our current first lady.

I don't think I've ever seen them. Only one Brazilian that was about slaves. Didn't like it tho.

Speaking about maids. Is it common for rich people to have them in Mexico just like in soap operas? Like that they actually live in their house and pretty much be part of the family.
>>

For one, your s is more š-like than mine. There also seems to be some loppukahdennus going on in avata koskea -> avatakkoskea. I think that my biggest problem is the fact that I have practically no idea what I am reading, so it's hard to make pauses at the right places.

>>56790377

Jepp.

>>56790064
Let me be the first and last one doing that :^)
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1FIwb8xqSUd
>>
>>56791012
Yes, here most people have maids even if they're not rich, the difference is how many and what they do.

I have two maids, and I'm far from being rich, but they don't live in my house.

Most rich people will have two, maybe three maids depending on the size of their house, and some people will pay them to live with them, but a lot of people don't do that just because they don't want a poor maid living with them.

It's not even that expensive, one maid will cost you like 10 dollars a day.
>>
>>56791180
>Let me be the first and last one doing that :^)
thank you kind sir
>>
>>56791218
>one maid will cost you like 10 dollars a day
Average person here has to work a little bit over 2 hours to earn $10
I don't know anyone that has maids but I could really use one, I hate cleaning.
>>
>>56791544
Well, another reason why so many people here have maids is because you usually only call them to work 3 or 4 days a week, so that's like USD $120 a month, not really that much.
>>

Some Portuguese for y'all

Pobre coitado!
Que saudade desses longes, inocentes tempos...

I find it interesting how you start screaming in some parts even though this is supposed to be a calm and gentle text about innocent teenage love hueaheuahuae
You should watch out for the nasal sounds that aren't marked by ~, like in "varanda" and "montanhas" (they should be read like "varãda" and "montãnhas"), and try to lighten that "brazilian" accent, it's too heavy and it sounds unnatural.
But overall you did pretty well imho, and were funny so i r8 it 8.5/10

Not bad at all, it was perfectly understandable despite some small mistakes and even though you have a strong accent. Here's my reading if you want to compare

http://vocaroo.com/i/s1SnQtnF02sc
>>
>>56798436
Awesome, thank you!
Specifically, are my Rs too strong, or is pronouncing them fully like that acceptable?

The main point I see to improve is being more subtle in general, I still pronounce every word full, while you eat a lot of unnecessary syllables to improve the rhythm of the speech.
>>
>>56798901
They didn't sound too strong to me, your nasals felt a bit too long on the other hand, but that's not a bother, all brazilian do that.

At this point all you can do is aiming towards a more fluent rythm of speech, since you'r already easily understandable.
