Many places want to see the US go down, just because Iran is more overt about it doesn't make it any more or less of a bad thing. Is all that matters to people the past 50 years of history? Nobody cares about what Japan did, what China is doing, how half the planet has competed with the west throughout history? The only reason nobody cares is that the west is more successful, had we failed the others would be in power and we would be the butthurt shits like Iran, we'd be complaining about Asian occupation and atrocities committed against our people, or living under Soviet oppression, or a dozen other things.
I respect other places history. which comes with a recognition of what those places did. Acting like bad shit never did and doesn't happen anymore is ignorance, people who claim to like a place while acting like that don't show true respect because they pick and choose what to see.
