I went there3 years ago. Guayaquil is the most horrible city I have ever seen (and it's supposed to be thr rich city there), you could actually see little hills made of garbage on the streets, people are unpolite as fuck, all depressed looking.
Salinas is a pile of shit, first time in my life i heard a gunshot it was there.
Quito's downtown is very nice, pretty colonial buildings, worth visiting.
Women are as ugly as it gets. Not ssaying chileans are very pretty but jeez yours are horrible.
Galapagos seems nice, would visit.
The weather is horrible too. At least for me, I hate tropical weather, so humid, everyone always sweating.

I went a few years back. It was nice; there's a lot of history there, especially in Quito. Overall the people seemed really nice and travelling there is a bit more authentic in my opinion. There weren't too many people speaking english and I didn't find anyone trying to scam me for being a tourist. At the very least, you have to agree that Ecuador is naturally beautiful.

Went to Montañita: meh beach, fuckload of tourists, everything expensive, good party though.
Went to Guayaquil, ugly city but good food and not too expensive, very nice people.
Went to Quito, felt very unsafe, city is okay overall in terms of architecture. People are decent and prices are reasonable.
Went to otabalo: horrible tourist trap selling overpriced Bob Marley t-shirts in their "artisanal market"
Went to the Amazonas and it was very nice, some traps and scamming but on overall everything cheap and losing a fee dollars to a starving Indian isn't exactly the worse tradeoff.
Went to Galapagos: fucking expensive but worth it as they are extremely well preserved. Staying several day backpacking across the islands was awesome as the retarded tourists go back to sleep and play poker on their huge cruise ship at night. One of my best travel experience l, seeing so much unique wildlife.
