Escorts and human trafficking are different things. Our own legislators are struggling to create laws around that concept.
Hookers can only illegally hire people to protect them right now. Lots of people think brothels or the ability to hire a body guard should be legal for security and health reasons. Safer environments for prostitutes would mean more safety for their clients and it would cut into the human trafficking side of prostitution where women are forced into it against their will.
