Check out Sochi. Where the Black Sea meets the Caucasus Mountains, palms and pines. Surf and ski in the same afternoon. Although I would consider Kamchatka pensinula one of the coziest places on earth tbhf.

You can try using google earth. It's hard though, everything looks so run down and rusty.
There are nice wooden houses which are freshly painted if you know where to look.

Almost the entire Alaskan coastal area are temperate rainforests. They have a better climate than I do and I'm in the lower 48.
