The iphone thing isnt exactly about encryption. Encryption itself could possibly fall under second amendment rights. The specific issue with this iphone is the software mechanics that keep the 10 failures phone wipe thing from happening. The easiest way to end the issue is to just enforce the already exiting labor laws.
Businesses only hire them because they are illegal so they don't have to pay taxes or insurance or social security benefits on them. It's so bad now that competing businesses can't afford to not use them.
