The good:
Really awesome people, I haven't made as many friends in my whole life. Gypsies only seem to be in the south as I rarely ever see them in Cluj-Napoca. Italy and Germany had way more in large cities.
Awesome nature that's still virgin and I guess that's a positive aspect that everyone admits. The cities are very cozy with all its old buildings. Transylvania as as far from the southern Romania (in culture and aspect) as it gets, it's like you're in a different country altogether.
Good manageable weather that's not crazy. Winter is winter, summer is summer and that's how I like it.
The bad:
Gypsies are still a problem. I don't get it though, romanians hate them and aren't rich enough to support them, why aren't gypsies mass leaving for richer countries abroad that will accept them (Sweden and Germany lol)?
Romania is still a country fucked (literally) from every angle and throughout history and it shows. It has bad roads too generally (I don't think I've seen a genuine highway yet like in Germany) and unlike its cities, the country side can be really poor and blasted.
It's still a poor country at the end of the day and many years will have to pass before it comes close to what the western world looks like.
But Romania has potential. I swear out of all the "poor countries" I've been in, Romania is the only country that has the potential to surpass the shitty western countries and their bullshit politics. They have to concentrate on themselves and take out the trash first of foremost.
Romania is our Latin brother and that's all that matters
