As I know, chain store supermarkets work almost always, but not 24/7, and some private shops can close nearly 5 or 6 p.m. Here in russia most of stores work 9-23 or 24/7, even private stores, and it's more convenient.

It would require you to buy a large amount of alcohol at the same time, since you need it for Saturday too, and then people will look at you with judgement. If you do several runs in one day, the employees will recognize you and think you're an alcoholic. You could buy some earlier in the week, but then you'll just end up drinking it all before Sunday anyway.
There is no simple solution.

Our alcohol shop does not have bulk prices, because they think it encourages excessive drinking.
Stores are open till 15:00. No alkohol restriction in store(well you have to be 18yo and up).
