I pretty much exclusively use American measurements when cooking:

"Use 1 1/2 cups of flour" is way better than "use 400 g of flour". Why should I own a kitchen scale when I can get by with volumetric measurements? It's completely illogical.

Only for liquids and small volumes of dry ingredients where we use teaspoons/tablespoons, just like you would. But where you would use cups for sugar, flour, etc. we use weights. It's incredibly frustrating. And thank god that the internet has American recipes.
