AMERICANS MEASURE FOOD BY CUPS
1 cup = 236.588ml
>cup isn't red
hmm..
>Lithuanians can only eat food if their Kommissar allows so due to sufficient service to the Soviet motherland

>not even a red party cup
I'm offended. Why would you insult my culture like this?
>not using the superior teaspoon, tablespoon, cup, quart, pint, gallon, etc...

Yeah, it's really annoying when a recipe calls for a "cup" of this, "pint" of that, "ounce" of something else, and a stick of butter. What the fuck is a stick of butter?
>>56593516
>stick of butter
This on is the best

I pretty much exclusively use American measurements when cooking:
"Use 1 1/2 cups of flour" is way better than "use 400 g of flour". Why should I own a kitchen scale when I can get by with volumetric measurements? It's completely illogical.

it's 1/4lb m8

Do Yuros not use liters or shit like that to measure their ingredients?
>>56594013
cL and such, but mostly grams

Only for liquids and small volumes of dry ingredients where we use teaspoons/tablespoons, just like you would. But where you would use cups for sugar, flour, etc. we use weights. It's incredibly frustrating. And thank god that the internet has American recipes.

Don't Brits and other Anglos use cups too
