It's about history so don't mind the thread, m8.
>>56591866
>Greece is literally a tumor
Of course it is. Most of the history we're taught is from the last 500 years and especially from the last ~300 years (American history) and you just literally cannot get around the Eurocentrism of that era because it is Eurocentric. Unfortunately that sometimes leads to Afrocentrism, black people get insecure and want comparable history so suddenly they wuz kangs.

Mostly French, Ruskia and American but yeah, pretty much. We also avoid teaching about Spanish history apart of the roman period and give a lot of importance of regional history.

Well to be fair, its not like nothing wasent happening in africa.
Its just that it isnt as relevant to understand how we reached our current position in history.

Well in high school it's usually divided in História do Brasil (br history) and História Geral ("general history"). The latter is like 95% europe/colonisation of the rest of america(hispanic/anglo).
We mostly learn about western europe tho, especially the countries that are more relevant to brasilian history (meaning southern europe like italy/portugal/spain) but also loads about germany, russia and the UK. Eastern europe and scandinavia is mostly covered in geopolitics classes, we don't really learn their history much, just modern stuff.
the remaining 5% is like a shallow look into neocolonialism. We get into japan too a little bit but not much.
So yea I guess it's eurocentric, but it makes sense.

7 year - Prehistory and Antiquity (ancient Greece and Rome mostly)
8 year - History of the Middle Ages IV - XV century (mostly European)
9 year - World history XVI century to the beginning of the XX century (mostly Europaen and some colonization)
10 year - Modern world history WWI onwards
11 year - History of Bulgaria VII century to WWII

up until the end of the monarchy our etchers praise the fuck out of Portuguese historical achievements
then fascism happen so our teacher speak neutral of that time they dont praise or talk shit about the estado novo
and everything concerning Portugal after 74 is basicly Portugal has potential but its poorly managed and we should have been like Brittan and formed a post imperial common wealth
No, actually we have lots of "latin american history" aka Mayans, Aztecs and Incas.
And whenever we study things that happened in europe, it's always in relation to what happened here. For instance, when we study ww2, we study how the war was actually good for Argentina because we sold more and how our country remained neutral until the end of the war to keep selling.
>>56594282
