I love Germany despite everything. People claim that german towns are ugly, but it's really easy to see an ugly town there. Germany has 162 bombed towns. People claim that Germany is small, but that is obvious, when half of their land is given away. I love the history of this country and I fewl really sorry for the situation with the refugees right now. Why don't people appreciate this country more? I really hope it will shine again.

Those aren't ugly at all. They are probably the most beautiful towns in Europe. However, a lot of towns like these are lost...

Most of the big cities in Germany lost those kinds of buildings during the bombings, which is what OP is talking about.

I myself come from Gießen for instance which had a lot of old timber framed houses before the war and after the bombings was rebuild with ugly, grey concrete buildings and commie blocks.

Of course some effort has been made to rebuild some of those buildings but still, the best preserved ones can only be found in small cities.

Oh, I am sure they will. Just flatten the last 80 years worth of construction efforts and put back houses and a city layout not fit anymore for today.

>german towns are ugly
>it's really easy to see an ugly town there. >Germany has 162 bombed towns
The fact that they were bombed to shit means that they had the opportunity to rebuild in a practical and aesthetically pleasing fashion. Instead they decided to make them all hideous. German post war architecture is abysmal.

everyone thinks Germany looks nice from the romantic road castles with super saturated color and perfect shader levels.

meanwhile if you actually go to germany it looks like shit, especially when it's not in the peak of summer, then it's just brown disgusting muddy shit.

and don't get me even started in the north and west. That looks like literal asshole thanks to the war bombings and rebuilding.

if you want to see real beauty you'll have to go to some parts in france.
fuck it, i could even say Strasbourg is already better looking than any german city.
>>

Honestly, it's been bugging me for a while, but Germans, has the Merkel and the refugees situation made Germany a lot worse?
I used to really like Germany, but the recent events have made me feel a lot less motivated to learn German, as I hate mudslimes with a passion. Could hardly stomach the Turks before :c
>>
>>56568427
Small town Bavaria reporting in.

Almost no rapefugees here desu
>>
>>56568427
It depends on where you are. It's getting worse, but it's not extreme now. At the moment most cities don't have stuff that's comparable to the banlieus in Paris. I'll give it five years until this starts to happen. Crime rates seem to grow, eventhough the government say that wouldn't be the case. But it's not like you'd have to fear for your life if you're normally working in the city. It's hard to predict what'll exactly happen.
>>
>>56568427
>has the Merkel and the refugees situation made Germany a lot worse?
Personally, I don't live in an area where refugees are, so I can't tell you what they're like.
However, Merkel pulls shit like counting refugees in hiding as "voluntarily left Germany" to make the statistics match up, and that is what bothers me the most. I'm all for helping people in need, but not feeding scum that comes here from a relatively safe country just because they think they don't make enough money there.

My hometown (11k inhabitants) is taking roughly 800 new rapefugees in the upcoming months. We're actually just a temporary place for them until they get distributed across the area, we already have approximately 200 sheltered in the municipality. The new ones will live in an empty warehouse in the industrial part of the town. Let's hope the crime rate will not rise, but I personally think there will be issues. We have installed an alarm system at home, just to be sure.

>>56568722

To be honest, I think the time is up, the damage has been done. Maybe the AfD will gain some votes, but as much as I hate to say it, there are still a lot of people who support Merkel and her politics as it seems.

Orange? You mean https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange,_Vaucluse?
