What if Spain had moved its capital and manpower to America while the USA was weak?
The Spanish Empire fell due to the Napoleon invasion. With a small population in the European land due to emigration to the Americas and Filipinas (about 7 million inhabitants while France had +30 million), and with a huge overseas Empire, the French troops fucked us.
After that the independance movements started.
But what would have happened if the country and even more of its population had moved to the Americas?
Probably the Americans would have continued their westward expansion through the north, and Canada would be the USA. Remember that by 1800, the USA was unpopulated and weak, and that movement of troops in the Americas would have been much easier than from America to Europe.
It's possible that nowadays America would have been composed of 3 countries:
1- USA in the North
2- Spain (Latin American but much whiter due to more European immigration)
3- Brazil/Portugal, as Portugal would have moved (they did it before) and kept their Capital there
