What kind of insignia do your countries' military's generals wear? Do you like it?
Let me start with Finland. 5/5 very cool, I like the lions
Zimbabwe uses these massive things made out of rope.

Some pairs of these filled me with endless dread during conscription, because they were hard to make out from afar.

The middle row is identical, what's the difference?

>reserve officer student
>reserve officer trainee

i know, heatenings, but at least a lot of those big guys had the decency to space them out more on their tabs to make it clear.

taken from your ceremonial uniforms, with a bit of added african flair. the zimbabwean army is bizarrely committed to trying to look as much of a continuation of the colonial/rhodesian security forces as possible.

>mfw not sure if lieutenant or lieutenant-colonel
You could usually guess by their apparent age but that shit was usually just an educated guess.

Yeah, but, sometimes you don't have time to focus on anything BUT their rank.
Imagine having to make out the highest ranked person out of five in a room you've just entered.
Also an honorary mention goes out to Sotilasmestari (Soldiermaster/Chief Warrant Officer) because they're so fucking rare, and at first it can throw you off.
And this is now a thread about Finnish people talking about their experiences in conscription.

they have such a cool title though

They just like it when you call colonels.
Our instructors also advised to call every Sailor (gay) when encountered an admiral and everything would go smoothly. You'd need a bar code reader to get the Navy (gay) shit correct.
