I'd say I know a lot about Japan; I'm very privy to their culture because I've read MANY doujins and hentais, and even watched some animes. (pronounced ah-knee-may, btw)
I'm even taking a Japanese course at the community college I flunked out of a few years ago. So yes, they do LOVE white people. They appreciate Western (USA/Canadian) culture and try to even mimick you when you arrive. The girls will basically throw themselves at you too. I've never been there, but that's how I'd imagine it would go.
